Sorry, connection a bit slow here at the moment. I now have the details and have booked the tickets. Alan (so its a wet weekend in Manchester for me,leaving my parking space for any City fans who've travelled in the opposite direction, the extent of any generosity in Highbury I hope.) - ----------------------------------------------- FREE! I missed the chance to see Laika in Seattle last month. Is this going to be PJ's touring band for this album? Is Laika on hold for a while? (This would be odd, since they just released their new CD.) (Boy, I have a lot of questions...(^_^)) By the way - just a reminder - for your private use only, the PJ Harvey clip is on my webserver. http://www.weasel-bot.com/tv > after the song pj and mr leno had a couple of minutes of inane chat. at the > end he waves the new cd at the camera , says what it is and closes with the > classic line "and she wrote all the songs herself!". gosh , i wouldn't have > thought it possible.p Yeah - if I had more space I would have put that interview segment up there. You should have seen a previous interview PJ and Jay did. This was around the time of the "Four Track Demos" CD. She came out, and did a painfully raw version of "Rid Of Me" accompanying herself on electric guitar, wearing a gold dress and a ton of make-up. Then, during the obligatory interview segment, Jay got her talking about castrating sheep. A landmark in uncomfortable television! (^_^) I have it on tape somewhere.... Tim, Blimey! I was sure I read something about him dying..... I'm delighted he's still with us - and by the sound of it he's on good form. I always though James Young took a few liberties in the book - producing "composite characters" from the various people involved - though I'm sure all the stories are true! Is the film on general release, or just in Manc art-houses? Mark << "Nico's manager was a guy called Alan Wise (who died a couple of years ago).
