But, they were both on U.S. television this week. PJ Harvey on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Radiohead on Saturday Night Live. So, I have clips from both shows up on my website: http://www.weasel-bot.com/tv The clips haven't been streamed yet, and they're 14 megs each, so for right now, I'd suggest people with DSL, Cable Modem or T1 download them. I will edit them down, and stream them in the next couple of days. The two Radiohead clips are national.mov and idiot.mov. Both of these clips feature the "interesting" modern dancing of Thom Yorke. Well worth downloading for the novelty value alone. Plus you get to see what Kid A songs would sound like live. The PJ havey clip is from her new album, and features her new band (I think) and a really low cut black cocktail dress. (PJ is channelling the spirit of her inner New Yorker now, I guess.) The three THOMx.JPG files are from the end of Saturday Night Live. Thom - always the prankster! - held up a Nader sign, then threw it down in digust and walked off. You'll get the idea when you see them. Enjoy! The good news is what it implies - that the members of Wire have reviewed recent activities and feel that there is something there worth exploring. I wouldn't have thought that 're-examination of the back catalogue' would sustain the renewed collaboration. > //// well , we shall see. i think the more interesting bit of news on > pinkflag was the new gig.................edinburgh dec > 8th..........excellento.........sort of > . so who else is up for it then? > > actually i'd appreciate some info from those who know as to whether this is a > one-off or not. if so then i'm there. but if there's some english dates too > maybe i'd go to them > instead to tempt fate a bit less..... p > ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Oct 2000 22:25:15 EDT From: Eardrumbuz@aol.com Subject: Re: [idealcopy] OT.23Skidoo In a message dated 10/19/0 9:52:26 AM, alan_gray@email.com writes: >Last night I saw 23Skidoo at the Scala. was this a one off type thing or is a tour happening? i wonder if there'd be any chance of u.s. shows. does anyone know of a website for 23 skidoo info? thanks, paul c.d. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Oct 2000 03:56:26 +0100 From: Tim Robinson Subject: [idealcopy] 'Ere it is...again..a New Wire Item!
