From their riotous late '70s madness, through heavy-synths and every techno beat, The Fall have seen it all 'and still come-up sounding fresher than the next big thing' (NME). Dick Dale is the father of surf music, as significant in the development of pop as Brian Wilson or Van Dyke Parks. This is the hero of fender reverb, staccato playing and thundering instrumentals. His classics include 'Let's Go Trippin' and 'Miserlou' (both covered by The Beach Boys) and the last decade has confirmed his status as a vast influence on contemporary music. - --0__=UCJVw6eGFMAOg4fjEP0TtuXWD0T08xKkPB8OQHFp3WxXGnDL9t6YluxK Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Disposition: inline Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable =A312.50 The Information in this communication is confidential and may be privil= eged and should be treated by the recipient accordingly. OK- I like Madonna too, and really enjoyed Ray of Light (freely admitted) But she is as much a pioneer as BIll Gates - matter of fact their approaches are very similar. Find under-recognized talent and co-opt it, stamp the personal brand on it and market as a 'new' product. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It sort of gives the impression of them staying stationary while the background moves. In fact it was similar in style to the "Sensoria" video. I think, if I remember correctly, Peter Care directed both of them. - -Rob- ------------------------------ End of idealcopy-digest V3 #241 *******************************
