Reading this article, I realized something else about your preference for lowercasing your name: I can't help it, but everytime the writer used the possessive of your surname, I thought of cheeseburgers. Some years back, there was a story of the McDonald's corporation suing some small-town restauranteur who had the gall (!) to name his restaurant after himself - his surname was, of course, McDonald. (He didn't just call it "McDonald's" - - it was "McDonald's Inn" or something.) I'm thinking if legal power weren't a function of money, you'd stand a better case suing McDonald's for making everyone think of lame-ass cheeseburgers whenever they encounter *your* name. (There I go again with those badly timed Brit swears.) The Waterboys' lead singer (Mike somebody?) has a whiney voice, and sounds like he is pinching his nose as well. Urgh. I cringe when I hear his voice.A few years ago he did a solo effort and I saw some stuff on 120 Minutes on Mtv and I could not understand his appeal at all. I think Mr. Googly Eyes himself Karl Wallinger descended from them and I like a couple World Party (old) songs.
