It wasn't until i heard that Quixotic was playing also... I loved the singer's former band, Slant 6...so i *had* to go.... ....posted queries for tix on Friday and it paid off..... what a show! one of the best i've seen ever. All 3 bands were outstanding, imo and each with a unique style....and got to chat with SY and the S'Lab afterwards... (inside poop: SL is recording in Chi, again this fall...with John McEntire, presumably) ...funniest moment: when people were clamoring for Laetitia Sadier, Kim Gordon, Tim Gane and Thurston Moore's autographs out on Lawrence Ave. ...a homeless man hawking his Streetwise mag came over...to the group, seeking a sale of his paper, no doubt...well Laetitia inadvertantly signed his Streetwise in a flurry of autographs...suddenly 2 fans were fighting over it...the price: $5! ....sold!....hee hee... ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jun 2000 06:37:59 -0500 From: "webmaster" Subject: RE: idealcopy-digest V3 #182 >So he can go on Alan's rocket with Sting.
