Also, can anybody tell me anything about CN1 >>>>> 6-track cd given away with the first pressings of the not to/singing fish cd. 2 of the tracks are the single "we means we starts/not to" , plus 4 otherwise unavailable songs. one of which is a track from "singing fish" with lyrics added. worth getting. How does one get hold of it? Presumably it was a limited edition. MInd you, I picked up We Means We Starts when released and was quite disappointed (my first Wire related purchase was Newman's A-Z, which I thought was marvellous). Perhaps shifts in my musical perspective over the intervening 17 years or so might warrant a revisit to WMWS, only I've no means of playing vinyl. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 May 2000 19:30:04 +0100 From: "Andrew Lumbard" Subject: New Subscriber I've just come onto the list following a few days on the digest last week. Quite pleased to see that I'm not quite the oldest (41)! Anyway the main reason in finding you was to see if there were any other gigs after The Garage as I was unable to make it this weekend, but now no need, I shall be there tomorrow. So now the main question is what time have they been getting on stage? Is there a support? Probably in common with others on this list we have the baby-sitters to sort out, and an hour and half journey into London. Very briefly, been a fan since they started, but despite seeing anybody and everybody since '76. The only two bands I never got to see that I wanted to see were Wire & Joy Division. No chance of the latter. Look forward to contributing in the future, now I find it easier to follow the threads, than on the digest.
