No, it just has regular pink and black printing. It's the US release, which version has the glowing printing? - -- Jason Borchers jasonmb@calweb.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2000 08:23:11 -0800 From: "Paul Pietromonaco" Subject: Re: The Peel Sessions Album CD Hmm - good question. My CD is entitled "The Peel Sessions Album: Wire". It has a red/green look - two photos on the front - top one red - bottom one green. It's on the Strange Fruit label, # DE18102-2. (P)&(C) 1989. If you look at the CD, it has faint green printing - that's the "glow in the dark" part. It claims it's printed in Canada - but I don't think it's a Candian edition per se. Yes, that's right, 10 PM. I'm sure the neighborhood is just fine, but... I wouldn't want to linger. the neighbourhood is probably better than most destinations on the bus line cabs are also fairly common along that stretch of road > 4) I parked on the street, at a meter, twenty feet from the front door -- but I got lucky. an understatement __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Ah, the Peel Sessions! A couple years ago I mentioned to Charles the fun fact that this material has been released no less than 7 times! (1) The day-glo yellow cover. This was the UK print. (2) The red picture and green picture. Canadian print. (3) The reissue with the weird red picture. (4) The Legendary Manchester Wire bootleg, with the green cover. (5) The grey cassette with the 1st Peel session only. (6) Coatings, which has the last Peel session. (7) A grey album with Wire written in this weird snake-like script. I saw this album once and didn't buy it; I think it only has the 1st Peel session (it might be the vinyl version on #5). All of these album covers, except #7, are on the Wire Page. Thanks for the clarification - collecting Wire is difficult enough without having the "trainspotters" messing it up! (^_^) Cheers! Paul P.S. Parking is a pain, but it's possible, especially if you don't mind walking a bit. Taxis are realistic, if you're not in a hurry. Buses--I wouldn't. As someone already said, if it says no parking, believe it: you WILL be towed. By 10 pm all Cubs related things will be long over, which is good for us.
