got my copy of yclept on friday and gave it a couple of spins. like a lot of compilations it's a bit disjointed but there's some really good stuff on there. the opening vs1 is a great start and the 2 takes of "because we must" are fabulous stuff that i'm amazed stayed hidden for so long. there's also a few shorter , uneventful numbers and the sprawl of vs3 but in general i'd recommend it.

low impact is about as different from this as could be , all moody and ambient with few beats and none of the force of many of the recent swim releases. i think i like it , but it'll take a few more listens to work it out fully. great package with the free second cd of old-time immersion numbers as well. i guess best to go buy one before that offer sells out......

(following roxy chat i see in q that they have re-issued the cd's from manifesto onwards , lovely pic of the gary tibbs line-up. reviewer seems to agree they all have their moments , but not too many of them)p
