Are they different mixes? Was it a mistake? Actually, I'm not that bothered, as they are two of the better tracks! I've played the CD several times and only just realised. I was putting together a Newman compilation tape to play in the car, and it threw me a bit, but I got the tape sorted. As it has turned out, most of the tracks on the tape I made come from A-Z. But, there are 4 fish tracks, quite a few from Not To, yet only 2 from Commercial Suicide! I don't like the latter album very much, but it does contain my favourite Newman track. I play that one particular track every time I turn the hi-fi on, before playing anything else! Nearly always. Thanks, Colin, for writing that one! Got my tickets - five rows back in the middle. If it's anything like the Wir show at the mean fiddler, that means earplugs (buzz). Any conclusions as to an idealcopy meeting place? There are lots of bars at the FHall so we'd best be specific. Howard ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Sep 1999 11:02:28 +0100 From: "Wilson, Paul" Subject: RE: Swim Live Sorry. My favourite, all-time, Newman track is "Can I Explain The Delay?". Why? No idea! Are they all deleted? I don't have a copy of "It Seems" (except one I taped off someone), and I kept meaning to buy one - preferably on vinyl. (Hate CD's really - prefer the sound quality of vinyl). Maybe, as they are custom made, not all copies of "Live" are the same? It Seems is a different matter though and, having not heard it in ages, I bunged it on the other day. Still very good and pretty fresh and it also includes one of the best of CN's "pop" takes ever with "Better Later than Never". > is my fave of that era. real shame that of all the > wire solo stuff these must be the only deleted > albums , they deserve better Write to / yell at Crammed. It probably won't make any difference, but it might make you feel a bit better :-) C === >>> Craig Grannell / Wireviews >>> Visit Wireviews at: http://welcome.to/wireviews http://www.snub.dircon.co.uk/wirehome.html >>> wireviews@yahoo.com >>> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Paul KW yes , all the crammed stuff has been unavailable for ages. i seem to see "it seems" occasionally (i've got the cd which has an extra track so even if you don't like them there is some benefit in this case) but i looked for ages for a c/suicide cd and failed totally so i made do with a vinyl one. these don't seem to show up too often so good luck. since the late 80's i've swopped over to basically buying cd's for the convenience , but there is still something nice about old vinyl. one thing i'm going to get is dome 1/2/3 and p'o on vinyl before they vanish. and i still can't find MZUI despite years of looking in case anyone wants to sell or swop me that.p ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Sep 1999 13:18:15 -0400 (EDT) From: Andrew N Westmeyer Subject: Re: websites & cd-roms Excerpts from mail: 6-Sep-99 websites & cd-roms > had a look at the wire page and there's some nice photos of > colin & malka on the us tour , worth a look. Yeah, I think I forgot to post to the list that the web page was updated. Actually, Craig's page is far more current than mine - he's already reviewed albums which I haven't even heard yet!!! Anyhow, I took some pictures at the Toronto show. In case you've ever wondered what Charles or Ibrahim or I look like, well...
