Speaking of which, if anyone wants to write a nice report on this for Wireviews, then please do so. I had to remove the Boston Globe article due to "copyright reasons" and the fact that they wanted something in the region of U$400 off of me for using it! I know there have been comments and such-like on IdealCopy, but if anyone with good memories wants to furnish me with something a little more in depth then I'd be most grateful. Nice in the sense of ... oh, you know what I meant! What I'm after is a constuctive opinion about the gig that's well written, hence "nice", rather than a sacharin report from "yes" men! I rather liked the bulk of the Globe report for those reasons, it's just a pity I can't use it! Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Sep 1999 09:25:52 +0100 From: "Wilson, Paul" Subject: Swim Live Can anyone explain why the first two tracks on the Malka / Newman Live CD are repeated as tracks 3 and 4? Are they different mixes? Was it a mistake? Actually, I'm not that bothered, as they are two of the better tracks! I've played the CD several times and only just realised. I was putting together a Newman compilation tape to play in the car, and it threw me a bit, but I got the tape sorted. As it has turned out, most of the tracks on the tape I made come from A-Z. But, there are 4 fish tracks, quite a few from Not To, yet only 2 from Commercial Suicide! I don't like the latter album very much, but it does contain my favourite Newman track. I play that one particular track every time I turn the hi-fi on, before playing anything else! Nearly always. Thanks, Colin, for writing that one!
