The show consisted of most of the Swin release with one of the encores of spaced in and turn in the set.The videos projected were cool and the opening band The weird Library of Art(from Toronto)were interesting but without vocals fell a little short of something.Nice sounds though as provided by guitar,ARP Odyssey,Farfisa organ, and backing tracks on disc. Ecobravo had a drummer, turntablist, bassist, and Peter Principle on guitar with E-Bow and some very wicked timbres and sounds. All in all it was a pleasure to see and meet Peter,Colin, and Malka as they have been inspirational over the years and I have always wanted to meet them.Thank you Colin,Malka, and Peter for making a dream come true for a fan who has admired and recognized your contributions to music! If anyone else was at the show,I was dressed in black with a black hat turned backwards so there I was.I wanted to hang out with everybody but I was slightly flustered so I didn't press. They might have thought that they would have had to get a restraining order!:)It is overwhelming when you meet your heroes and you have had this desire for so many years and you feel that you might not have the opportunity but when it presents itself,it is surrealistic but it was immensely enjoyable nonetheless. Thanks to Charles and Matty(the trenchcoat superheroine)for chatting and just being cool!More on this later but remember Wire will be regrouping for a possible performance/tour.This is info direct from Colin.I gave them all my card for the studio that I work at Big Blue Meenie in Jersey City NJ.If you are in band and want to get the best recording at about half of the studios in NYC then go there and work on a world class desk-the Amek 9098i-the best analogue desk in the world. We deal with a lot of punk/hardcore bands but we are open to music of all types check out the website at www.bigbluemeenie.com(sorry for the shameless self-promotion)!
