anyone heard it? i've been looking for minimal compact albums and drawing a total blank , you seem to be able to buy them as expensive imports from us outlets but i can't work out where they're importing them from , if they were available you'd think big uk stores would have them. anyone know who sells them? one further question , anyone know a web site or postal adress for play it again sam records? i'm sure they're still going. p ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 May 1999 09:52:17 -0500 From: "Mack" Subject: Re: well hello > god its all gone quiet. either apathy rules or my server's blown up , i'll find out shortly i guess. and there you are :) > anyway i just got back from an excellent shopping trip to bristol , for a quid each i got "music for fruit" (white label promo with press release , no less) , "one of our girls" lp and a mute drivers 12". i loved the ac marias/mute drivers "vicious" but i've not heard anything by the md's on their own. is there an album? The Crammed site is well out of date discography / mail order wise. Both those CN discs are completely out of print, although one can still find the odd vinyl copy in the US via mail order. > anyone know what happened to alison > conway? p Angela Conway is now working in the wonderful world of video. I guess most people on this list are aware that she directed most of the Wire related videos, along with her own. What you may not know is how much other stuff she's done. A URL: http://www.state.co.uk/angela.html A second ACM album was "booked" into the Mute catalogue some years ago but never appeared. BTW, to anyone that tried the SBR link on Wireviews and got an error message - it has now been fixed.
