D&E got repressed in the late 80s (88? 89?). the whole run was a mispress like yours (at least 1000 copies, i'd guess). - - tB! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Apr 1999 12:10:46 +0100 From: paul.rabjohn@tunnplat.ssab.se Subject: Re: d&e mispress so i just bought a turkey then , nothing new there. mind you side one sounded quite funny at 45rpm until i realised what was going on. ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: d&e mispress Author: MIME:schmeil@pixelpark.com at INTERNET Date: 09/04/1999 11:58 ...this is definitly not a rarity. Tried several copies at the record store. All had it like you have it. Bollocks pressing. They certainly maufatcured 1000 copies, so I doubt it will become a collectors item. The non-existant track is "Wanted To Go", which is a lyric from "Lorry" (aka "Lorries"), which is the previous track. So the bootlegger gave 2 names to the same track! That's not as bad as the LIL and TATTTTP bootlegs, which have the band's name listed as the Outdoor Miners. :P (A)ndrew Westmeyer qwerty@cmu.edu www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~qwerty "And now for something completely different." ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Apr 1999 13:04:38 -0400 (EDT) From: Andrew N Westmeyer Subject: Re: oddbox. I was puzzled by that too. Swim is listed as the "featured artist", but there's no link to follow to elaborate on that. And half the links on that web page don't go anywhere regardless. Anyhow, Colin (and the rest of the folks at Swim) had nothing to do with it. I'm not sure if Oddbox is a store or a magazine (music or fashion) or what. You can check it out at www.oddbox.com, if you're so inclined.
