My name is Joshua Zarbo and I'm a musician living in Austin, Texas. I'm a new Wire fan. I was turned on to their music by the singer of my band. We were playing a cover version of "Lowdown" for quite some time. Now we're doing a version of Colin Newman's "Not Me" off of the A-Z album. Both excellent tunes. Since I'm a new fan I've only been exposed to their first three records. I've also heard a couple Colin Newman solo records. Out of the first three Wire records my favorite tunes are: "Champs", "Options R", "Mr. Suit", "French Film Blurred", "I Am The Fly", "Used To", "On Returning", etc., etc. At the moment my favorite record is Chairs Missing, but 154 is running a close second. I think Lewis and Gotobed comprise one of the best rhythm sections of the late 70's punk period. Also, Newman's lyrics are fantastic. Well, i'm looking forward to the discussions. First question: What is Mike Thorne up to these days?
