I've come to the >conclusion that a Wire fan is someone who owns all the albums, but >only likes one or two. It's not "like", it's "listen"! I've heard the PF and 154 at least 10,0000 times in my life now. WHen they came out, I used to CARRY PF around with me and play it to anyone that would listen (and probably a few that didn't). So I wouldn't say that it is being dismissed. It's just too familiar. Kind of like the Beatles in a way. I don't think many people sit down and listen to ... Sgt. Peppers, or Help. Especially if your over 35! Albums like that are "classic" now, part of the vocabulary. But I dare say that I'd part with PF or any of it because I don't like the SOUND of it now. One day I will, if even to hear what Fragile or Reuters was like. Musical taste I have found (at least mine) sure come back in waves. Right now, I'd take a Family or old Genesis album over ANY piece of electronica today! charles Interesting Bit: If you have the Silo Instar CD, compare track 10 to the song ABACAB by Genesis. It's identical! ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Dec 1998 14:47:49 -0500 (EST) From: "IBRAHIM BOZAI" Subject: What I DO like... He Said Hail The Ideal Copy A Bell..
