Absolutely. I didn't really like Serious of Snakes until I heard the Coatings version. Graham's counter-melody in the chorus and the expressive "yo yo yo"'s at the end just add a whole new dimension. Plus the instrumentation is far more interesting, more noisy-things. That's the thing about wire, their music really lends itself to dull versions and exciting versions, Drill being the paradigmatic example.
