The lame Paul Kendall vs. The Bongos Of Doom Mix?? Don't get me wrong - "In Vivo" is one of the greatest tracks Wire ever did - but there are >>far<< better versions of the song out there than the ones that showed up on the "In Vivo" 12" (don't have my LPs with me over on this side of the pond, but if I recall, the mix on "Coatings" isn't on the 12", although a number of similar mixes are), namely the 7" version on "The A List" or (superior IMO) the 'original' mix on IBTABA. . .but then again, the IBTABA versions can do no wrong in my book. Do yourself a favor and check the other versions. - -ned "I could really chill out in New York." -Mick Harris http://www.gestalt-media.com/stromkern/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Oct 1998 09:45:05 -0700 (PDT) From: Tito Jackson Subject: What dat' mean? > One question though: What does "in vitrio, in vivo" mean, anyway?> In the egg of life. Or am I all alone on this one? I always assumed the Peel sessions version was meant to be the 'definitive' one. Whatever that's supposed to mean ...
