Was it a traumatic incident that inspired the band to compose 'Locust'? - -Alex ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Sep 1998 10:00:16 EDT From: JudeHayden@aol.com Subject: more on Elastica Hey all- I don't think this was mentioned yet, but there's a new elastica track called "Human" on the Dead Man on Campus soundtrack, which is credited to Donna Matthews, Bruce Gilbert, Robert Gotobed, Graham Lewis, and Colin Newman, and it says it contains elements from "Low Down". I haven't had a chance to really listen to it yet, but it seemed to only barely have the same rhythm, and I'm not sure if it's a sample or not. Anyway, just thought I'd mention it and point out that at least now they're a little more up front than before with their influences. I know Elastica took a beating on the list a little while back, but I happen to *really* like them. Come on, wouldn't you rather hear a band that mimics early Wire than ANY of the other crappy new bands that all derive their sound from but are somehow even more awful than Toad the Wet... Sprocket? Is the order on IBTABA different from > UK to USA as well? Oh dear, I feel like everyone is ganging up on me! The track listings in the discography are the UK releases (since the discography came from Kevin Eden), but the pages for the individual albums are the US releases (since I made them). So this should be the UK release order (the last three tracks might not be in the proper order since they were added to the CD release): Patterns Of Behaviour Goodbye Ploy Morning Bell Small Black Reptile Torch It Other Moments Sixth Sense What Do You See? (Welcome) Where's The Deputation? You Hung Your Lights In The Trees / A Craftsman's Touch Life In The Manscape Stampede Children Of Groceries And for those non-Americans out there, here is the US order: Life In The Manscape Stampede Patterns Of Behaviour Other Moments Small Black Reptile Torch It!
