I have a 12" called "Get Out Of London" from ca. 1984. I didn't know that Desmond was in the band. GOOL is a very fast Rock/Pop Song with guitars and samples and stuff. Nothing close to Wire though. I bet if you're looking on a 1984 Pop/Wave compilation this song is on it. - - tB! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 08:10:35 -0500 From: "Mack" Subject: Re: T-shirts / Heathers I did not notice that but it is not suprising that film had a suprising sensibility >does everyone realise >there's about 3 seconds of "Drill" in the teen flick Heathers (1988), >just before Christian Slater shoots his stereo? My vote would be for the cover of the Sneaky Pete comp, And Here It Is Again. If memory serves it had a Warholish-colored picture of a field of crops, with I believe a big piece of farm equipment (harvester, thresher?). Really cool. I lost my copy in a flood 5 years ago, dammit. Else I might have scanned it and done my own. If anyone has a jpg of that, I would love to have it! But anything that looks good would be ok, I know a few other folks who would want one, too. I agree that 154 would be a bad choice, incredible album, great cover, but a very bad t-shirt. tony ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 09:10:29 -0700 (PDT) From: "David C. Does anyone know about Wire's appearance on the show? Which era? Song list? Heck, does anybody have a copy that they would like to share?! ~David Kwan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Aug 1998 12:21:03 -0400 (EDT) From: ELCHIPUCABRE@webtv.net (JOE VIGILANTE) Subject: [none] Who is selling t-shirts for how much and what are the choices. When i returned from vacation I had 92 messages so rather than reading it all I ead some and erased some. Also did anyone else realize that 154 is 451 backwards. 451 is the temperature at which books burns and also the title of a great work of literature. Released as a single on Chrysalis in the UK 8 August 1983. It didn't chart and was not released as a single in the US. It's not that rare of a track as it appears on several compilations. I have a copy with excellent sound but poor video quality; occasionally the lighting is dim and you can just make out a face from the dark black and green muddy background, but it's questionable at best. Their performance is very together, and Robert takes his shirt off about halfway through, while Colin sports a white dress shirt and tie.
