Question: How does this new CD compare to past music you have recorded, in your Question: opinion? CarlySLIVE: It's more intimate and personal and it's more up close. CarlySLIVE: The influence of the location is far less than one would imagine. CarlySLIVE: It's much more effected by the location of the thoughts in my brain. Question: What inspired you to make a new CD after all these years? CarlySLIVE: It wasn't really all that many years. My last CD was in 1997. The album "Film Noir." CarlySLIVE: This is my first album of original material in five years. CarlySLIVE: "Film Noir" was an album of movie songs from the film noir genre. Question: Hey Carly! It Question: seems you record music that fulfills a personal need. But this is also Question: hard to sell to the public? Just as its hard for them to be with themselves as they CarlySLIVE: grow and change, they have to accept me as I do it. CarlySLIVE: People don't like each other even to have a haircut. My songs are like children, CarlySLIVE: there are very few I've ever thrown out like a first pancake. Question: where do you see yourself in the next 10 years? CarlySLIVE: I see myself in a lot of gift shops, buying tee shirts. Question: Dear Carly, Caught you on GMA you were terrific. On previous albums, CarlySLIVE: Sally made her debut as a seven-year old singing on "Jesse." CarlySLIVE: Ben had a solo on my album called "Letters Never Sent." The song called "Time Works on CarlySLIVE: All the Wild Young Men."
