As you would know by now, this is an odd production (in my own personal opinion, of course! I am not a professional music critic). If you remember, I told you I am a Carly fan since 1971... yes, but I knew only the most "popular" songs. I loved her songs but I was not a real fan since I had only two or three albums. It was until I met my husband that I discovered all her production... that was in 1992, meaning twenty years later !!! Well, he [my husband] is a TRUE fan. But, what happened with TBT? We listened together the very first time on May the 17th. and he didn't like it... at all. He was like sad with all the things involving Carly, I mean, he didn't stand when I was watching the TV's Specials, like the Good Morning America Interview and the Concert at Bryant's Park... He is like trying to keep loving Carly as she was and is refusing the new one... In my case I think that TBT is just different. I don't see it like a "decaying" album. It is only the artwork of someone who has gone through very heavy life situations and challenges. She [CS] sees life in a different way though not an opposing way, meaning her changes are not 180 ° degrees' turn. Not for better not for worse. She is as good as always but has a new way of telling. I am disappointed with the way some (including my husband) are reacting to TBT. Why their INERTIA? I like all the songs but in very different ways and for varied reasons. Even the controverted In Honor Of You (George) and We Your Dearest Friends... What do you think? Confused, Margarita. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 15 Jun 2014 22:45:01 -0700 From: "catman" Subject: Fw: TBT Comments - ----- Original Message ----- From: Margarita Leal To: Catman (E-mail) Sent: Thursday, June 15, 2000 8:19 AM Subject: TBT Comments Hello Colin and ev'ryone else at the list: I am so glad that you finally got your copy of TBT.
