Hello Carly Simon Fans,

I'm new to the list, and I need your help. Plese help me to settle a bet. (I 
hope I'm right!) Okay, please complete the following lyrics from "You're So 
Vain". 

"You had one eye in the mirror as you watched yourself........."

The argument is between "go by" (logical, yes) and gavotte (weird word, true, 
but it's a dance and it rhymes with yacht). I bet on the second--please tell 
me I'm right--an evening's worth of beer is on the line.
