Here in France nobody talks about Carly. I haven't seen clips in TV and on the radio,"You're so vain" is the only song that we can heard. (as usual) I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend last night and it was very surprising because at the moment we seat, we could hear Carly Simon singing "Coming around again" and the all album after. It was very nice and I immediately think of you. It has been a very nice time for us. BW and nice week end to all of you. Gus. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Feb 1999 16:16:18 +0000 From: catman Subject: Re: Last night That was great Gus! We hardly hear her here in Britain either. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Feb 1999 11:01:00 -0600 From: Margarita Leal Subject: RE: Last night Hello Gus: It is for sure very good news for all of us... The last time I heard Carly on the radio was on Christmass eve and I immediately called the radio station asking them to play at least that song ("The Night Before Christmass", you bet!) more often. The response from the radio announcer was (as expected) oh yeah sure, meaning yeh whatever. I insisted in needing to talk to someone else... he kept me holding on for a long time but I did the same, using the free hands speaker until he finally picked up the phone again, surprised I still was there. He then gave me another phone number to call directly to the radio programmer and after a lot of trying I got what I wanted; in fact, the programmer was surprised 'cos he too liked CS but told me since NOBODY asks for her music he rarely programmed it. Well, as you see this takes effort and time and the majority of people (at least here in Mexico) they never care or are not willing to take the time to make things happen... I guess we are passive and indifferent but anyway... I must confess I don't listen to the radio as often as I used to when I was younger and single, but I take every chance to "promote" CS's music amid my friends whenever I can. Fare thee well my e-friends. Margarita. P.S. ¿Sabes, Gustavo? ¡Saludos! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Feb 1999 11:19:42 -0600 From: Margarita Leal Subject: RE: CS&CH&JM Thank you Beverly! I visited that web page and read the tough article... it is very interesting to read something like that since it showed me how different other people think about CS. So long, Margarita. " you know that song, don't you? I don't have idea which film was and I've never seen anybody mentioning that song as featured in a film. The only thing I am sure of is that Charlie Sheen was in that film. Does any of you know something? It might have been a film made for TV only, thou. So long and have a nice weekend!
