Hello Marcia and everyone !!! Well, it is true! My husband bought the CD one weekend... I was very busy... he had to go to his office that Sunday to work in some stuff for long hours... so he took the CD and he is sort of a "Doctor Distracted" meaning he gets into his Laboratory (Dexter's ?) and gets lost with his work until I send him a "BEEP" ... Then he gets home and is very warm and tender. He is a very good person and he introduced me to many Carly's albums that I have never heard of before. Life has taught me to be tolerant because nobody is perfect. You are right in a sense... he is depriving me from Film Noir... but sooner or later he will bring it back home and then I would (hopefully) listen to it. I think we love each other and we have learn to be very patient with each other, because I myself am not a sweetie, I mean, I (undeliberately) sometimes do wrong regarding things he hates from me bu,t after an outbreak of arguments, we come to terms and hug and kiss each other and back again to "normal" ??? Who says what is normal? Those who fall into the 94% under the curve? Well, thank you but no thank you! I am normal for some things and very abnormal for other things and I am happy. Thank you for your comments. Regarding my first time ... well, Carly's music contact or what? (you are nor talking 'bout first time sex experience, I mean, this is a "musical" discussion board, is it?) The first song I heard through the radio was in 1972 and it was "Anticipation"; then I learned how to play it with my guitar and resumed to sing it. Later, I guess it was "That's the way I've always heard it should be". But the first album I got was "No Secrets" and it is one of my all time favourites ever since... I got it as a Christmas present from my parents in 1972. I'm glad that Carly is well enough to be in public again - and she doesn't owe us any explanation of who she sings to. As for the note on Bewiptha my guess is that whole dialouge that went on between her and her friend "Sophorina" (or whatever her name was) was indeed fictitious. They were very funny and I enjoyed reading about their antics, but I did notice that they changed the spelling of their names a few times. before I left, I forwarded a link of some Carly articles from the past few decades that "Jodie" from the AOL board was kind enough to put together. Finally, I realized that it was none of my business and I need to allow other people to live their lives -- even if they are different from my own. First of all, thank you Carolyn for your thoughts but, wow, there must be some sort of problem, maybe because my native language is Spanish or I missed something but... ... well, it is true he has the CD at his Lab but it is also true that he forgets everything not directly related to his work (Research - pure science)... and when I really want/need something very badly I just send him a Beep (or two or three, just to be sure) and tuti contenti or everyone happy! To be honest, we got marry very old of age but very young at heart. I had around 500 CD's of my own before we married but only THREE (3) from Carly, believe it or not. Now we both have around 700 CD's and he also keeps lots of LP's and EP's to play in the old turntable. I was not really complaining, you see, only telling some factual when I sent "My Big Compilation". I really don't care too much for that particular CD because I understand the songs were not composed by Carly or what they call "covers"; maybe I am wrong. She has the prettiest voice regarding pop/rock/folk music (in opera I like Kathleen Battle and Dame Kiri Tekanawa). So, I have not been asking my baby for Film Noir and he has not been "withholding" it from me. What's more, he likes Carly more than me, I must admit... he has every single LP and now CD, video, book composed by Carly. He is the true fan... I, am just an admirer but my tastes in music are much more varied than his. And, as a man, he feels very attracted to her... she is the only woman she "sees" besides me. (ha ha ha ha ha). We are very honest, not perfect but honest. So this is it! So Long ! P.S. I like Margaritas also but, I love Frozen Margaritas!!! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Oct 1998 22:53:24 +0000 From: catman Subject: Re: YOUR FIRST TIME How romantic!
