Everywhere, that is, but here in NYC. Now she's back, playing Living Room tonight ( http://www.livingroomny.com ) but at the normally no-go hour (for me) of 10 PM on a weeknight. However, since I am in the progress of some time off from work, I can at least try to make it. Even though I am on vacation, I rarely stray from this little Big City, but I did take two day trips to South Norwalk Connecticut last weekend (pre-vacation, but hey! it's the weekend) during the SoNo Arts Celebration; lots of people I like played their Stage #4. Even though I am on vacation, I still wake up pretty early, and 10 PM may still be too late. I have been trying to stop by http://www.trinah.com , but I have not been able to reach it for several weeks. Trina's post card still lists trinah.com , and it still places this list at " some.org ". "Smoe" is a typo of "some" that managed to take on a life of its own while I was on the Happy Rhodes discussion list near the beginning of the 1990s. I hope this email note finds you all well-rested and in good health! Cheers! Mark Susskind < MarkSuss@aol.com > [ http://hello.to/marasu ] PS: Lisa Brackbill, I stopped by the George's Fifth Street Café's website, http://www.georges5thstcafe.com/ , and it looks as if it hasn't been updated since the spring. Would you know if Godfrey Daniels ( http://www.godfreydaniels.org/ ) (another Pennsylvania venue some of my faves have played) might be open to Trina and her buddies? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Aug 1999 11:36:10 EDT From: "Lisa Brackbill" Subject: [none] how nice to get hollow mail today! Thanks for the update Mark. I am definately in a funk over not having seen Trina in concert in a while. Like Mark, I tried to work it out with my vacation schedule- but couldn't find a place to stay in Martha's Vineyard on my way back from cape cod! That would have definately been a great way to end vacation, though! As far a George's goes, i've been unable to get through by phone, but couldn't ever get anyone last spring either. I'm 45 min. from Bethlehem,PA (Godfrey Daniels) so that would be incredible- not sure how that place works though- i've never seen a show there. I did see Lucy Kaplansky at the Point in Bryn Mawr,PA 2 weeks ago and we thought that place would be ideal- like George's but with food and electricity! Another great place in Philly is the Tin Angel- although the food downstairs is pricey and they work only on advance reservations. ..as for websites.. i've also not been able to get on http://www.trina.com, but http://trinahamlin.com is great and has been updated. what i'm anxious to hear is how some of the new songs sound that already have lyrics listed- i guess i just need to get to a new show. (or move closer to NYC)! best wishes, Lisa Brackbill brackbill@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
