Mail started flowing again at about 2am on Sunday night, which was a lot later than we'd hoped - various things went wrong but we overcame all the obstacles :) Unfortunately, the ISP that queues smoe.org's email when it's down, had a mail loop on Sunday morning, while Jeff and I were in New York. Any mail sent to a smoe.org address after it went down, around 9am on Saturday morning, was sitting in the queue at the ISP, and some amount of it (we don't know just how much) got bounced on Sunday morning because of the loop. Everything else, including any mail sent after 11am on Sunday, stuck around in queue until we brought the server back up, and did get delivered. If you sent email to the hollow between Saturday morning and Sunday morning and you got back a bounce with "too many received lines" as the error message, then you got bit by the mail loop, and your mail did not get delivered. -- Cos (Ofer Inbar) -- cos@polyamory.org cos@cs.brandeis.edu -- WBRS 100.1 FM -- cos@wbrs.org http://www.wbrs.org/ "In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
