Where are you located, BTW? The announcement came in the small print of her last mailing, which arrived yesterday. Along with news of her (sparse) web site, and if I read that right it says it's been up since August, which is weird--never found anything on it before, and Trina never mentioned it when I asked her for a link for our surf-on-out section (I run an indie label here in New York City, check us out if you like. Trina's exit link is over there at http://www.web-ho.com/other-bands.html). So, as noted, I'm in New York. Where are you, Ofer? I catch probably well over half of her shows here in the City, and booked her once last spring for a particularly stellar set with a show we were doing at CB's Gallery. Still, to my mind, the best local venue for her. Though I'd sure like to see her at the Bottom Line. Small list--yes, they start that way. I did a "who" right after joining and found I was 7th. Counting you, Trina. I do have a question. Well, two. First, I wonder how your recent Boston gigs with Slide went--I was actually tempted to road up and see you (I love them, and catch them about whenever I can). Unfortunately, with the hectic haze that passes for my life, that was never a serious consideration. And second, I wanna hear more about People Talking. Are there any tapes out there? What was the lineup? How did it start, and how long did it last? What was it like? > P.S. Anyone have connections with the Bottom Line?...Just checking. I'm still working on it, actually. Not making much headway, but you're my star candidate (along with The Cucumbers, who have played there before in the dawn of time). It's kind of a Mission. Hope you can make it down to our 2-year anniversary show on 12/13 at the Gallery...hmm, I guess this should go off-list. Never mind. I'll email you about it later on.
