Last night my friend Michell and I went to see Matt Nathanson co-headline with Gavin DeGraw in Cleveland for Michell's birthday - Happy "belated" Birthday, Michell!! Matt was AMAZING as usual! His talent NEVER ceases to amaze me! If you haven't seen him live, you DEFINITELY need to check him out when he comes to a city near you!! He has such an awesome stage presence and is amazingly talented! I found Gavin's CD - Chariot - at the local used CD store and bought it. I listened to it and thought it was good, but I thought he was much better in concert. Gavin (26 years old) had a great energy and a great voice! Not only did he play songs from his CD, but he also played classic R&B and soul songs. A review of his CD states: DeGraw writes lyrics that muse on life and love with a hard-won insight that bellies his age. And he sings his songs in a gently raspy, effortlessly emotive voice that carries a level of emotional depth that's remarkable for one so young, conveying the elation of love and the pain of heartbreak with equal assurance. The more I listen to the CD, the more I fall in love with it. Gavin DeGraw is definitely worth checking out!! That's my two cents worth. back to lurking in freezing, snowy Cleveland, Ohio! ~Stephanie~ ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V7 #4 *********************************
