Looking forward to a prosperous (and concert filled) 2004. I'll try to keep this short and to the point. A little over a year ago, around October of 2002 I started designing a site called emmAGINE. What I wanted was to start an archive of all of Emm's shows. I got the idea after seeing Nancies.org which is a Dave Matthews Site with a similar concept. The basic idea is to keep a record of concert information. This included the setlists, other bands that played, type of show, venue and various pictures such as the setlist itself, ticket stub and a photo of the venue. It would later expand to include cross references of information. Such as how many times a particular song was played in a given year, where, when, etc. In my spare time, I've been piecing together what you can find at http://24.192.171.9/ . Bear in mind this is running on an ancient linux machine at my house and can be slow if more than a few people are trying to access it at once. Feel free to browse it at your conveneince. It's nowhere near completion in terms of design or content but it gives you a rough idea of what I'm trying to acheive. All the content is original, in that I have in my posession everything that you see there from the articles to the albums and photos. Now to my point. Before I go any further with it (getting a domain, paying for real hosting) I'm really interested in hearing your opinions on it. Whether positive or negative, constructive or offensive, I need the feedback. Is this something that fans will be interstested in contributing to? Have I wasted my time putting this together? Do I look like a fool for even asking? Should I get a life? Please be brutally honest. If you have any questions at all that you'd like answered, technical or otherwise feel free to ask. Can't wait to hear from you and thanks in advance for your time. - - Ish _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus&pgmarket=en-ca&RU=http%3a%2f%2fjoin.msn.com%2f%3fpage%3dmisc%2fspecialoffers%26pgmarket%3den-ca ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Dec 2003 10:45:42 -0700 From: kevin.xu@softhome.net Subject: Re: SEC (i guess): emmAGINE Ish, I love the idea, and I'd like to help out in any way I can, although I'm not sure how useful I'd be since you're at every show I go to anyway :P But wait a sec... she played the Phoenix November 13 and I wasn't aware of it?!?!?!? - Kevin Ismail D writes: > I'd like to start by wishing everyone a safe and pleasant holiday season. > Looking forward to a prosperous (and concert filled) 2004. > > I'll try to keep this short and to the point.
