And like a lot of other people, I'm highly anticipating the new ones from Leona Naess and DCFC, not to mention Outkast, Dido, Saves The Say, Sarah M, etc...and I'm also anxious to hear the Some Girls album, which for some reason seems to be rather hard to find in Toronto. And I should throw in another plug for the new albums from the Appleseed Cast (Two Conversations) and Scout (This Soft Life), both of which are fantastic. ********************************** Mike Keast (mikekeast@email.com) - -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup CareerBuilder.com has over 400,000 jobs. Dance, dance, dance. Probably not your cup of tea but what can I say. I totally got into this album, a lot quicker than any of the albums her sister put out. Danny Michel - Tales from the Invisible Man : A wonderful piece of work. This man keeps getting better and better. Hawksley Workman - Lover/Fighter : Absolutely awesome. I got this album late last week and it's barely left my cd player. Ones that I am looking forward to: New cds from John Mayer, Howie Day, Rufus Wainwright, Josh Rouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Dido, Sarah McLachlan, Shaye. Oh I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them at the moment. And for those of you in Toronto, a number of these artists are playing in the city over the next month - - Hawksley Workman - - Danny Michel - - Howie Day - - Death Cab for Cutie - - Josh Rouse - - Tegan and Sara - - Metric (sorry you are gonna have to look up the dates yourself) Cheers Rannie http://www.photojunkie.ca http://www.rannieturingan.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Sep 2003 09:33:17 -0400 From: "Stephanie Smith" Subject: Re: New Music Thanks for the heads up on the Saltwater Trio (are they still called that--Tara MacLean et al) CD release. I have been waiting and waiting for it and couldn't find any info about it! Also, Leona Naess on Tuesday! I had just told myself that I would stop the CD buying for a while but I think I'll have to break that resolution... Can I just say how much I'm in love with this record? Jebus lordy me! Only after a few spins, I reckon that it'll right up there in my year end list with Death Cab, Postal Service, Stars, Grandaddy and Maplewood Lane. For the love of all things holy and good and puppy dogs and Christmas -- you guys have to check this out!! Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm eagerly waiting for The Gay's first full-length, coming out (so to speak) tomorrow :-) Hanson - -- "Oi with the poodles already!"
