She wrote briefly about it in her journal on the website and she has posted nothing since. It was good to read the article on Canoe.ca that Rick posted about... I hadn't heard anything from her in eons and was beginning to wonder if we'd ever hear her beautiful voice again. Excited to hear what the "Trio" will sound like, and also excited for a new Tara solo CD, whenever that might be.... It's hard to believe its been almost 4 years since the release of Passenger. Here's an article I wrote about the 'One Big No' peace concert a few weekend back, with some beautiful shots of The Sarahs (Slean & Harmer - we put the Slean pic on the front cover of the paper, since she *is* sort of an alumna of U of T, after all ;)), and a quote from Emm... http://www.thevarsity.ca/news/423218.html (The way our paper's website is set up, you have to sign in to access the archives, but don't worry, we won't spam you or anything - it's just the way the original template was set up. We're in the process of changing it over the summer break.) - - Tab. _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2003 01:56:38 +0000 From: "Tab Siddiqui" Subject: OAC: Tara MacLean Those of you who were wondering what Tara MacLean's been up to, she sings backup vocals on her pal Damhnait Doyle's single, 'Another California Song' - - I caught the rather sadistic video last night, and in it Damhnait kidnaps Tara, her ex's new girlfriend (in an amusing nod to Tara's 'If I Fall' video, the video opens with Tara in the trunk of the car ;)), ties her to a chair in a hotel room (the trashy hotel clerk is played by the third member of their Saltwater Trio, Kim Stockwood), until the boyfriend, the local cop, comes and rescues Tara. I have no idea *what* any of it has to do with the song, but there you go. ;P Tara sports a rather unfortunate platinum blond hairdo in the video, which I was kinda hoping was just for the video, but alas... ...if you check out the UmbrellaTV section of UmbrellaMusic.com, there's a quick interview with Tara, who recently hosted a women's benefit, super-blond hair and all. ;) (And no, the reporter in that segment, Jacquelyn, is not my long-lost sister, though many people seem to think so. ;)) http://umbrellamusic.com/umbtv.php - - Tab. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V6 #82 **********************************
