Like Stephanie... I'm new too. Well sorta. :) I've been away from headline girl for like a million years. Well, ok......... 3 years. But that's still a long time. Saw Emm for the first time, in Ann Arbor, since her recording of Girl Versions. She sounds fantastic as usual. It was nice seeing some familiar faces (Trish, Attila, Jamie) that I haven't seen in ages. - ----------------------------- Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2003 00:52:59 -0400 From: "Stephanie Smith" Subject: New Hi, all. My name is Steph and I just joined this list a couple of days ago. Actually, I just saw Emm live for the first time tonight at the Borders in Ann Arbor (I live in Ann Arbor for another week or so--Univeristy of Michigan, third year.) and it was fantastic! I was totally blown away. If anyone else was there, I was the girl in the front row in the lime-green sweatery thing, with my sister. I've been really really into Emm's music for about two years now since someone recommended her on the Dar Williams mailing list I'm on, and so...yeah. That's about it. Thought I'd speak up and introduce myself. Steph S. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Apr 2003 09:28:43 -0400 From: "Rob Tittel" Subject: Re: revisited..... holy crap! P.S. Look for Libbie to follow in Emm's footsteps Hello there loyal TOE fans, Well, a lot of changes have taken place over the last few months, and it's about time we filled you in: Libbie is going solo! Don't worry, she'll still be gigging and playing plenty of your favorite old TOE songs. She is currently in the middle of recording a new demo, and we are all hoping that something fantastic will come of these great new recordings. For those of you who will truly miss Jason's great riffs and Nick's good looks, check out their other band, the Action Cats: http://www.theactioncats.com Matt, the Dean of Funk, continues to perform with both Libbie and the Action Cats. The Think of England website will remain active for the next few weeks, and after that, it will be accessible through a link on the new Libbie Schrader website: http://www.libbieschrader.com As far as we know, this is the LAST e-mail that will be sent out to the Think of England mailing list. If you wish to continue to get updates about Libbie's music, you'll need to sign up here: http://www.libbieschrader.com/list.shtml If you want to be on the Action Cats' mailing list, please sign up here: http://www.theactioncats.com/main.shtml That's all folks! Thanks for being such fantastic fans, and we hope that everyone will continue to support TOE's members in their musical endeavors! Just curious, 'cause I think I saw him hanging out at a lot of Emm's LA shows. Speaking of Emm LA shows. . . according to an insider, she's opening for Matt Nathanson at the Troubadour on May 28th. I'll await confirmation from those in-the-know, but this insider rarely feeds be bad scoop ;) Just to give more LA love. . . Venus Hum is playing the Viper Room next week. The Flash Express continues their residency at Spaceland on Monday. There are (at least) 5 great, great, great shows on Wednesday and one of them is free with Daniel Lanois: New album = genius. And of course, the biggest commercial failure yet musically staggering show in town, Coachella! Every year they lose money putting this show on but they keep coming back for more. Decent lineup; get there early to see the afternoon bands. I'll be spending most of the weekend with the sweaty people in the DJ tent jumping around to Richie Hawtin, Amon Tobin, and Timo Maas. . . www.coachella.com ~candace > Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 16:51:55 -0400 > From: "Elizabeth Weber" > Subject: EC: Juno pic > > http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2003/04/0918.cfm The New Yahoo!
