I'm just so irate at the fact that people believe that it's acceptable to kill another person in a war, because they have been labeled our enemy by our government. Isn't that why church and state have been separated? I, personally, am not a puppet; I will not take another person's life to make mine better. But people do as their will and hearts permit. I, too, am willing to die for a higher purpose for the good of all. However, yes, Anthony, you are right in your assertion that my ascertation of your hypocrisy is wrong and unwarranted. I do not know you. Like I do not know the Iraqis. My enemies are fear and ignorance. I know that we as the Iraqis deserve the right to live. I retract any previous mention that berates those individuals that serve in our US military services. I have not served a single day, only son to a father who has served his 22 years in the US Navy and now works in the US Post Office for over ten years. But, I do not believe that serving in the US government makes one person more patriotic than the average civilian. I LOVE MY COUNTRY! I LOVE THE US! But I LOVE THE WORLD AND ALL OF ITS INHABITANTS MORE! Anyhow, eventhough, this doesn't sound much like a sincere apology, it is my attempt to admit slander against you, Anthony and any others I may offended. To offer a poor excuse, I acted under the duress of losing hope in our fellow man who believes that we are separate entities instead of one. Thank you for listening, John Yahoo! I've been waiting to see them for a long time. * I heard Emm is playing at the Iota Cafe in Arlington, VA on Apr. 20. Anyone in the area should go see this one especially because she's playing with Kim Fox whose new album is out now!! Finally! * War is a difficult issue to discuss and post-WWII it tends to divide this country because of so many differing opinions from people with different backgrounds and beliefs. I don't think Bush is an idiot, just like Clinton was not an idiot for bombing Iraq throughout the 90's killing hundreds of innocent people that largely went unreported by the media. I hate to see swastika's and burnt flags next to any American and find it sad that these images are being presented to the world as a way of getting the government's attention. My brother is a Marine captain currently in Iraq and it's tough for him to see Americans so viciously attacking a president that he believes is making a tough but ultimately correct decision. Well, I guess that's what he's getting shot at for... * In happier news, I'm happy to be seeing Bright Eyes, Lisa Germano, Future Bible Heroes, Superdrag, Trembling Blue Stars, Maria McKee, Thrice, Supersuckers, and the Foo Fighters in the coming weeks. I really wish mankind would get its act together and start treating each other with love. I'm really sick of all the hate that is going around. Maybe one day it will get better. On a brighter note I'm going to see Emm on Thursday and Saturday night. So things are looking better. Hopefully the war will end soon and this madness will stop.
