Oo... ahh, help, help, HELP!!! Hi ya, everyone! Ok, I heard surprising news from Gretchen that Natalie Merchant is heading up on an independent tour. What that exactly entails eludes even me. But I'm desperate. I need to know. No, no. I HAVE to KNOW! Someone, anyone please share any details on said event. I will be most grateful if you would share any insight on this matter. I have already checked Natalie Merchant's official website. nada. Zilch. ABSOLUTE NOTHING! (worry) (worry) [fidgety cupping hands] I got it bad for her. Please, please, PLEASE, help me. There are only two singer/songwriters I am willing to travel over 500 miles to see them perform. One is our fabulous Ms. Emm Gryner and the other one as you may have already guessed is the incomparable Natalie Merchant. thanks again, John. Yahoo! Hey, there John and everyone... Unfortunately, all that's been announced is that Natalie has decided not to resign with Elektra and she's putting her next album (The House Carpenter's Daughter) out on her own dime. No mention of a tour yet, and the album isn't even available, but you can sign up on her site to receive news on all of these things as it happens. Here's a tiny article from Billboard http://www.billboard.com/billboard/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1838747 John, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a tour, too! It's Wednesday, April 9th at the House of Blues in Harvard Square with the full band. Visit http://www.hob.com/tickets/eventdetail.asp?eventid=11087 for your tickets. It's much easier getting them in advance. I missed out on a great show recently (Tegan & Sara) because I didn't get my tickets in advance... If anyone wants to help hang flyers, please email me and I can email you the flyer back if you're willing to print it up and post it in the hot spots. thanks, Nicky ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Mar 2003 15:36:46 -0800 (PST) From: Superball Nine Subject: emm mention in holly mcnarland review haven't seen this posted to the list yet. http://www.canoe.ca/JamConcertsL2Q/mcnarland_h_031503-sun.html best, chris Yahoo! You folks who get to see that double-bill are damn lucky. Stars' new album, "Heart", is even more lovely than the BSS record, if that's at all possible. They're great live, and frontman Torq Campbell is quite demented on stage (and I mean that in a *good* way). ;) >BTW, they got a 9.2 ;-) Eh, semantics. ;-P - - Tab. _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. To all Torontonians on the list: on the first full day of bombing, there will be a protest outside the US Consulate at 360 University Avenue (Queen and University) at 5 p.m. Check out www.tcaswi.org for more information. www.moveon.org also has details on a number of actions, protests, etc. related to the conflict, including this list [http://www.moveon.org/musiciansunited/] of Musicians United Against The War. I now return you to your regularly scheduled Emm programming. - - Julian - -- [ Julian C.
