To kick off her nationwide tour with Holly McNarland and also to help send our indie friend Emm Gryner off to the Junos in April, we are helping Dead Daisy Records plan a Juno Nomination House Party in Vancity (that's Vancouver to you) on the night of March 4th, 2003. But wait - we need your help! We are looking for a Vancouver-based Emm fan to host the soiree, which is bound to be an excellent, intimate night of music and hanging out. The show will require a $10 admission and ALL FUNDS go to Emm's "Hey Kids I'm Off To The Junos and It's All Because of You" fund. All attendees will receive half off all CDs and T-shirts at Emm's Commodore show with Holly on March 7. So if you would like to be the dutiful host of this event, contact me, Annie at: is_that_a_juno_in_your_pocket@yahoo.com A piano in the house is preferred but not required. Thanks! However despite the fact that she comes across as a bit, well - annoying - I actually like all but two of the songs on Let Go. I think it's a really, really strong pop-rock album. Calling it punk is ridiculous, but it's quite good in my humble opinion. She's also a very good live performer. t. www.tanishataitt.ca ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V6 #34 **********************************
