(in shuffle mode): 1) Hot Hot Heat - Make up the Breakdown 2) Emm Gryner - Asianblue 3) Last Days of April - Ascend to the stars 4) Sarah Slean - Night bugs 5) Broken Social Scene - You forget it in people 6) Andy Stochansky - Five star motel 7) Gentleman Reg - Make me pretty 8) Godspeed You Black Emperor - Yanqui u.x.o. 9) The Weekend - Teaser 10) Motorhome - Motorhome (this is actually shouldn't be here as this hasn't been released yet; it's a T.O. friend who jams with a bunch of other T.O. musicians on Thursday nights). __________________________________________________________ Get your FREE personalized e-mail at http://www.canada.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Dec 2002 14:52:40 -0500 From: RPM12017@netscape.net (Ron P. On to another note, I just heard 'Fetching Decay' for the first time last weekend and that has instantly become my favorite Emm song. That song is so moving to me...no one can write a ballad like her. How does she do it? I shall endeavor to check out some of the other artists on your list that I don't know... Thanks, I've actually been on the list for quite some time, just never posted. yes, if only there were more than one Conor.. I think the world would be just perfect. I was looking at your list, and I was going to add K's Choice onto my list cause I'm the biggest K's Choice fan ever (self proclaimed, of course, but anyway..) since I was limited to ten..I even left out Asianblue, since I listen more to her old stuff than that album. Since I didn't partake in this last year, I thought I would this time, even though some of the recent purchases are starting to grow on me. 1) Beth Orton--Daybreaker 2) Counting Crows--Hard Candy 3) Emm Gryner--Asianblue 4) Bic Runga--Beautiful Collision 5) Natalie Imbruglia--White Lilies Island 6) Peter Gabriel--Up (not to be confused with the new *puke* Shania Twain) 7) Big Head Todd & the Monsters--Riviera 8) Tori Amos--Scarlet's Walk 9) Sixpence None the Richer--Divine Discontent 10) Peter Gabriel--Long Walk Home (Soundtrack) Honorable Mentions: Lisa Loeb--Cake & Pie and Sinead O'Connor--Sean-Nos Nua It is hard to list greatest hits collections, but U2 and Barenaked Ladies also had good ones in this category. I didn't know Tanya Donnelly had a new one, so I am now going to have to get that. Also, I am anxiously awaiting the new Devon album.
