Question: are there any "official" uses for the Headliners' pass yet? (yeah, remember those?) It's been sitting in my drawer for a year now, and other than wowing friends and family, it hasn't really been put into good use. Hehe... wouldn't it be awesome if I could get a discount for merch at shows? ;-) Hanson - -- "Oi with the poodles already!" I understand that the pass entitles you to one free bingo card at St. Benedict's Church in Sarnia, Ontario on the first Thursday of every month. In all seriousness, though... We must remember that the Fair Ms. Emm just self-financed a new CD and that couldn't have been cheap--any discount comes out of her pocket at the moment! Personally, I wish there were something more I could do to help her out. I know that whenever I go to a show I buy a couple of CDs and give them to friends just because it's the least I can do. But I suppose we are all of different means. Frankly, I just cherish owning the pass, Smirky ===== I'm a famous artist. Honest!: http://smirky.com/ Ho! Ha! Ha! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Ha! Well, I'm not necessarily looking to benefit financially from my fandom, nor do I want to take money out of Emm's pockets. I too buy multiple copies of her cds and give them to friends; in fact, I've got an unopened copy of OLY sitting somewhere right now waiting to be given away! I'm always looking to find ways to support my favourite artists, whether it be through buying t-shirts, going to a different country to see a show, or splashing out fifty bucks for a copy of And Distrust It. My original post wasn't a complaint or a see-what-I-can-score dealie; I just thought there might be a way for us to leverage the pass *and* help Emm out at the same time. The whole discount thing was just an idea. I mean, I'll probably buy merch regardless ;-) > Frankly, I just cherish owning the pass, Hehe... me too, but I just want to whip it out and use it sometime for whatever reason, you know? My pass-holding fingers are itchy! ;-) Hanson - -- "Oi with the poodles already!" Her site (www.emberswift.com) is full of info - lyrics, tour dates, links to reviews and mp3s. If you have the chance to see her live I definitely recommend her show.
