And I quote "You left a good drug on my tongue". Although the "acid" she's referring to may not necessarily be the drug, the drug reference is definitely there. For me, the song sort of functions as a metaphor.. although not explicity about drugs, the feeing from whatever is going on in the song (love? loss? heartache? hatred? a bit of all of these?) is likened to the feeling of being on drugs (acid specifically?). The confusion, ambiguity, withdrawal, wanting more of what you know you shouldn't/can't have. That's my take anyway. Hey Ron, I actually heard of Emm through Taras' email list (in-the-wings@iago.org). Tara is also a Canadian and has two CD's out. Her first "Silence" on the Nettwerk label (that's the same label as Sarah Mclachlan) and her second "Passenger" is on Capital (in the states, nettwerk in Ca.) As for does she sound like Emm, Well in the same category as Emm as in female singer songwriter and they both have awesome voices. Tara is currently taking care of her newborn baby and morning the accidental death of her sister. yet there is still rumors of her also working on a new CD. As for Tricia, can't say I am as familiar, though she is an active member of our list. I know she is an aspiring singer songwriter and believe she lives in Michigan. I actually had the opportunity to hear her sing back up for Emm on one tune at a recent gig. Am looking forward to hearing more from her in the future. ----Rick---- ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V5 #211 ***********************************
