Emm fans who attended her house concert last year in Port Coquitlam, B.C. will, no doubt, remember the host of that show - Lori-Anne Jackson, who also opened for Emm; well, Lori-Anne, who moved to Montreal for about a year, is now back living and creating on the west coast and will be opening for singer-pianist Allison Crowe at a show this coming weekend in Vancouver... and here's the word on Allison's upcoming dates in the Vancouver, B.C. area; on Friday, September 27, at 3:30 p.m. PT, Allison will be in the MTV Canada studios (in downtown Vancouver) for a taping of MTV's Select program; everyone is invited to be part of this solo performance and interview session (more details are posted at http://www.mtvcanada.com ) which will be broadcast on MTV Canada the following Friday, October 4 later that night, (September 27), Allison and her trio will perform in concert on Bowen Island, at Cates Hill Chapel, and, on Saturday, September 28, Allison and band, supported by singer-songwriters Lori-Anne Jackson and Terra Grimard, will be at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre in Vancouver; both shows start at 8:30 p.m. and more info is posted at http://www.allisoncrowe.com both of these concert venues are beautiful rooms, with great acoustics, and 9' Baldwin grand pianos - and they're all ages, so, yay!
