Hey, everyone... Just wanted to mention that local singer-songwriter JASON COLLETT has been added to the lineup of the August 17th Toronto benefit show, so there's even more incentive for y'all to come! ;) Jason's probably best known as the current host of the local "Radio Mondays" singer-songwriter series (used to be at the famed Ted's Wrecking Yard, now at Rancho Relaxo). He's well-loved by his peers in the Toronto scene, and his current album, "Bitter Beauty", features such amazing talent as Leslie Feist, Mia Sheard, Andrew Cash and more. He doesn't have his own website at the moment, but you can find out more about him and his earlier band "Bird" here: http://www.maplemusic.com/artists/bir/default.asp?band_id=70 Some of you caught his excellent full-band set at the recent North by Northeast... His solo appearance at the benefit will be more low-key, more in tune with what he usually does at the Radio Mondays shows. Regardless, it's his first local appearance since NXNE, so everyone who enjoyed him then is urged to check him out once again, and those who have never seen him play before are encouraged to check out this under-the-radar talent! Cheers, - - Tab :) _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Aug 2002 13:49:36 -0400 From: rturingan@dico.com Subject: Re: EC:Stuff on website Hey kids.... if anyone is interested, I posted a couple more emm pictures from the cd release here http://photojunkie.gtabloggers.com/archives/001390.html#001390 Also there are some shots from the toronto Tegan and Sara shows here... http://photojunkie.gtabloggers.com/archives/001397.html#001397 Feel free to leave comments...
