Emm played a new song with Ron Sexsmith! Yes, Ron Sexsmith was in the house. All in all a great evening. It was great to see some of you guys/gals again, and meet some new folks. Biggest problem was that the venue was too small for all of the Emm fans. Dave Yahoo! I loved symphonic on the piano and half sorry and siamese star... gorgeous! and she was really funny too... her stage banter about the pilgrims and the pope... and during sugar...lol... andrew spice was good too, I liked his cover of leather :) cool to hear a guy singing that... how many people were upstairs? >From: iamthechan >To: headline-girl@smoe.org >Subject: Headlights on the QEW >Date: Wed, 24 Jul 2002 07:59:49 -0700 (PDT) > >Hey all, > >Fantastic show last night. Apparently a couple of old friends of mine from highschool were upstairs. They said that there was maybe a dozen people up there. Andrew put together a good opening set. I am really really excited to hear his cd when it comes out. Luckily I have had the pleasure of hearing him before when I put together a show and an instore for him in Toronto late last year. So half the set was already quite familiar to me. But it's been so long since I have seen him or listened to his demos. And as for emm.. really what more can be said. I was blown away. It was a great night. The duet with Ron was awesome. Seeing Kevin Fox on stage with emm was also a nice treat just like the good ol days. It was also great seeing all the headliners in the crowd. I was happy to meet Ben from Rochester and see Dave again from Buffalo. I was really hoping to see Trish, But I guess I will have to wait till the Sarnia show. Some of my digital pictures are up in my blog... http://photojunkie.gtabloggers.com/archives/001335.html and for good measure you can also find pictures from the Hamilton show back in April here http://photojunkie.gtabloggers.com/archives/001077.html I also took pictures with my regular SLR, but those have yet to be developed.
