Often it is based on where there headspace is at the time. ie) when I originally became an emm fan, I couldn't get Public out of my cd player. I had recently broken up with my boyfriend at the time and Public was the perfect breakup album for me. when Dead Relatives came out I liked the songs a lot, but I because of the slow nature of the album. It didn't stay in my cd player for far too long. now did Girl Versions... This doesn't say something about the apparent talent of Emm. But more about my ability to relate. I'm really happy to see that Asianblue is quite a bit more upbeat than her previous two ventures. It has been constantly in my cd player for two weeks now. The track I am most likely to skip is Green Goodnight. (why must she always end her albums with a slow song?) Anyway, It should be a great show tonight, I hope to see a lot of you there. and while I had your attention I wanted to mention another show this week that I have put together. Friday, July 26th, 2002 Skarlet Ohara, (our very own) Vyletz and Michelle Rasky will be playing at Clinton's Tavern. The doors are at 9pm and cover is a steal at 5 bucks. It would be really great if we could see some familiar faces in the crowd cause this is a very important gig for the Vyletz and they really need the support on this one. They have a lot of new material to play as well as some of their standards. So come on down and have a drink, maybe even buy their new EP. Cheers Rannie http://www.vyletz.com ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V5 #147 ***********************************
