I was almost positive those two would have been definets, and I didn't even know "Christopher" was in the running. Any sight? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 May 2002 15:22:54 -0400 From: "Andrea Chiu" Subject: Re: Asianblue > what the hell happened with "Case of > Tornados" and "StarCraft Camper Blues"? The fact is that everyone isn't gonna be happy with the songs b/c there's only so much album space and oh-so-many songs. I haven't heard of most of the albums' songs, only "Northern Holiday (yay) and "Siamese Star" sound familiar to me. I obviously haven't stalked Emm enough, so I can't wait to hear the songs for the first time. Hopefully this means a great summer tour NORTH of the border, for Emm. *Crossesfingers* Here's the tracklisting from her journal: 1 Symphonic 2 Beautiful Things 3 Northern Holiday 4 Divine Like you 5 Free 6 Young Rebel 7 Lonestar 8 Christopher 9 Siamese Star 10 East Coast Angel 11 Green Goodnight - - Andrea NP: "Braided Hair" 1 Giant Leap feat. Speech and Neneh Cherry. (Freakin' right on.) P.S. I use the word "stalk" with a sense of humour. Stalking is bad and frowned upon, you crazy psycho. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 May 2002 19:13:15 -0400 From: "Lauren Schreibstein" Subject: Re: Asianblue The only song I'm *really* surprised isn't in the tracklisting is Asianblue, for obvious reason. Potential for bonus track, perhaps? I agree that it will be much more exciting to get the CD having never heard the majority of the tracks, while the more frequently played songs that didn't make the cut, like tornados and starcraft, have various live versions floating around. First of all, one of my favorite little-known local singer-songwriters, Amy Emerman, performs at 7pm. Then at 9pm, a female-fronted Canadian band named Ariel's Worm are scheduled. I did a search and discovered numerous sites mentioning a song of theirs that was played on Dawson's Creek, but that's about it. Anyone on the list familiar with them? I'm going with a small group of people to catch Amy's set at 7. For those of you in the vicinity, here's her announcement - I think most of you would like her: - --------- Sunday, May 5th, 7pm Amy Emerman @ CB's GALLERY 313 Bowery at Bleecker $5 cover It's my first gig there. Yay! Please come support me. If you've been meaning to get a gig but haven't yet, this is the one to come to. The more people who come, the more likely I'll get invited back for a good slot! Bring friends if you can...spread the word. It's gonna be fun! :-))) AMY - ----------- Dan ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 04 May 2002 02:34:27 +0000 From: "Tab Siddiqui" Subject: New album....
