Subject: Magdalen Hsu-Li

hey everyone,
i was just at a conference this weekend in albany ny, about lgbt-issues for 
college students and such. there was a performer one of the nites, magdalen 
hsu-li. has anyone on the list ever heard of her? she was completely 
amazing!!!!! her lyrics, sound, performance, everything!!!! so hilarious and 
so...wow, just incredible. a whole mix of folk-rock music...songs that 
resembled the "typical" girly-folk lilith fair stuff, plus some stuff that 
reminded me alot of kinnie starr and ember swift. she also mentioned emm 
gryner too! she was giving a seminar after, on re-defining identity as an 
lgbt and stuff...and she was also discussing the difficulties she faces 
being an asian-american performer, and mentioned other singers that she 
admires that may have to deal with the same thigns, and said emm gryner! i 
was sooo happy. so yeah...anyone ever seen her before or heard her? i think 
we need to get her up to toronto, she was incredible!
also, im downloading more songs once again...these are some new singers ive 
found...do you guys have anyone else to suggest?
