On Inside Entertainment's weekend edition they covered the Muskoka Sands event, including brief interview clips with Emm and Chantal, and some of Chantal singing, plus shots of the chat session with the three singer/songwriters and the host on stage. Wooh, Emm talking into the camera followed by my TV crush Su-Ling Goh?? Heavenly. ;-) Bob p.s. Anyone with inside info on which Rob Zombie tracks Emm does vocals on? All I know for sure is that's her singing on Never Gonna Stop and (Go To) California. But is that Emm doing those sound effects type bits? (opera, various accented voices talking, orgasmic shrieks, crazy laughter <-- methinks that's her, sped up.) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Dec 2001 10:45:14 -0800 From: "Shavonne Somvong" Subject: Re: NEC: top 10 movie list... "I've had one too many years of bumping heads with corporate structure," Bowie, said a statement on his Website (http://www.davidbowie.com) on Sunday. "Many times I've not been in agreement with how things are done and as a writer of some proliferation, frustrated at how slow and lumbering it all is. I've dreamed of embarking on my own set-up for such a long time and now is the perfect opportunity.". The move comes after executives at Virgin's parent EMI Group missed an option to extend his contract for two more albums, insiders said. Bowie is expected to release his next record through his label, ISO. Virgin released Bowiebs last three albums, which were relatively soft compared with some of his b80s material. However, the label did reissue of his lucrative catalog. Virgin has spent elephant bucks marketing his records, losing north of $50 million on this deal and sources say execs in charge were less-than excited to renew the pact. ISO will release his upcoming untitled album, the 24th solo release of his career. Virgin had scheduled it for release March 12. ISO will have offices in New York and London, and has already signed two new unidentified artists. www.jessicaweiser.com | www.aftersilence.net ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Dec 2001 20:59:15 -0500 From: Isaac Greenwald Subject: RE: Bowie says buh-bye to Virgin Is it possible that Emm would ever wish to join the Bowie label?? I don't know why but that thought popped into my head as something she just might be interested in due to all her dealings with screwey record companies. Or is she completly done with any sorta deal outside of dead daisy? Just wanted any of your ideas out there!
