I also got an email from a nice woman who also gave me the info. I think that Duncan said that the blond singer's name was Andrea Florian but her last name was definately Koziol. I bought a CD by her today called "Coming Of Age" but I haven't listened to it yet. I hear that she also has 2 more. I did see Andrea Florian the night after at the In One Peace show at the Riv. I got there just as she was finishing but the one song I heard was really good. The show was awesome! It was fuller than the Lees Palace show and there were more acts. Has anyone heard of Jory Nash? He's AMAZING. Gorgoeus folk songs and a really nice voice. Erin Smith did a cute set but it was kind of weird seeing her without her band. I thought that the songs suffered a bit without the other instruments. There was a guy playing named Shane something (I forget his last name) who I'd never heard of but boy was he good. He sang this one song that he wrote just for the show about a refugee woman and it made me cry! After him was another musician I'd never seen live even though I've ever of her - Katherine Rose. She's a great performer. Lots of chutzpah! :) The last number she did was a song called "I Married Myself" and it ROCKED. It's been stuck in my head since Friday! After Katherine was Jory Nash, then Tanisha Taitt was last. It was about 12:30 by then and I was getting tired but I wanted to see if she sang that song she did at Colourkind about the African-Americans and Jews fighting. She didn't, but was I ever glad I stayed! She was waaay better than the night before, much more at ease and I think it helped that Jeff Healy wasn't there. No offense to Jeff Healy fans or to the man himself, but I didn't like his accompaniment at Lees. She sang a song called "Water" that she said was on her tape (then she made a cute joke about being the world's most archaic artist for still having a cassette for sale). AWESOME SONG! There were some other tunes - really pretty, and the last song was one called "Rest Assured". OH-MY-GOD. I had goosebumps. It was one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard! I had to leave as soon as it was over because my dad was meeting me at 1 o'clock, so I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the musicians or buy any of their stuff. DAMN! But it was another really great night of music for a great cause!
