Still, I suppose I should be grateful for the fact that everyone I know in NYC is unharmed, including the people I was with at the show at The Living Room. I haven't heard anything about some of the people who were there, though -- I am thinking of Kyler England, Neal and Cameron Dezen. Has Dana or anyone else heard from them? At noon, fifteen minutes from now, there will be three minutes of silence all across Europe. I hope you are all as well as possible given the circumstances. - - Johan ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2001 07:34:27 EDT From: Songbird22@aol.com Subject: Re: The tragedy Johan says: > Living Room. BENEFIT FOR THE WIDOW'S & CHILDREN'S FUND New York - In light of terrorists attacks on America, Melissa Ferrick has decided to go through with her show this Monday, September 17th at the Bowery Ballroom. Melissa makes this decision with hopes of benefiting more than just the fans who have already bought over 400 tickets to see her play. A new circumstantial purpose to this show is to raise money and supplies to donate to the FDNY Widow's and Children's fund. Barrels and donation buckets will be set up inside the venue and will remain stationary throughout the show. The FDNY also is in need of toiletries, sunglasses, and medical supplies, i.e.: antiseptics, Neosporin, gauze, etc. for the men and women who are currently going beyond the call of duty. Melissa's decision to go on with the show was difficult and made with hopes of by turning this event into a fundraiser, something will be accomplished for the people of the city of New York. __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help? Several e-mail messages circulated around the world yesterday claiming the 16th century "prophet" had predicted the terrorist attacks and said they would begin the Third World War. But even proponents of Nostradamus were quick to dismiss the electronic messages as a hoax, pointing out the passages were either jumbled-together phrases from throughout the mystic's voluminous writings or completely fabricated." - - Julian - -- [ Julian C. ALEX DEZEN CAMERON DEZEN Great Lakes Bar corner of 1st Street and Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, Bklyn. Sunday, September 16th at 9pm. From Manhattan: take the W or Q train to Pacific/ Atlantic Ave and transfer to the N/R Get off Union Street. Walk one block north to 5th Avenue and down to First St. if you can't make it to the show, you can send a check to: Squad 1 Firehouse 788 Union Street Brooklyn, NY 11215 stay safe, dana __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
