It is just as beautiful as he is. Different sounding production than the first disc. Not as rollicky, but poppier and catchier. the disc is mainly produced by Pierre marchand. standout tracks are: cigs & choc milk, Greek song, shadows, California, tower of learning, grey gardens (tadzio tadzio), rebel prince, one man guy (cover of his dad's song), evil angel. I know that's like 1/2 the disc but it's really good. even the songs I didn't like the first few times I listened to it have really grown on me now that I'm on my 5th or 6th listen today. you should also check out his cover of Leonard Cohen's (Jeff Buckley's) "hallelujah" from the shrek soundtrack and "complainte de la butte" from the Moulin rouge soundtrack. the opening strains of which can be heard in the initial scenes at the train station. lurking again, Chris - -----Original Message----- Date: Tue, 5 Jun 2001 18:03:18 +0000 (GMT) From: "mark'eee" Subject: NEC: R-head Day... anyone else get their copy of Amnesiac yet?! - - --- Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! I did...even though I wasn't a big fan of Kid A (to put it mildly), I still love the first three albums, so I figured they deserved another chance. Big mistake...at the risk of offending you diehard Radiohead fans, I must admit that they've pretty much lost me, lately I find them more boring and pretentious than anything else. Fortunately, the Coldplay show last night was phenomenal, so that more than made up for it! :) ************************************************* Mike Keast (michael.keast@giffels.com) http://www.geocities.com/dtswd/ "i don't care if they eat me alive i've got better things to do than survive" ************************************************* - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Email from this domain is provided under strict rules of use documented at http://www.giffels.com/gal/g-email.htm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 06 Jun 2001 12:03:35 EDT From: DChan1701@aol.com Subject: Re: headline-girl-digest V4 #128 i also have kid a part 2 i managed to get a copy with the "library" book listened about 4 rounds so far i like it, but need more listening ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Jun 2001 12:11:59 EDT From: JewelEDA21@aol.com Subject: Re: R-head Day... I've got the new Air. I haven't really listened to it b/c I'm obsessing over the new Flashing Lights and Bran Van 3000 albums. I'm also a little scared to listen to the new Air, I think I have a big fear of being let down. It's cool that Beck's on the album tho. ===== Take care, Andy - ---------------------------------------------------- Stalk me: AIM - StupyAndy ICQ - 10294764 http://home.istar.ca/~andyc/me/portfolio "The only things worth living for are innocence and magic" - -DG - ---------------------------------------------------- Get your free @yahoo.ca address at http://mail.yahoo.ca ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 06 Jun 2001 21:49:08 -0400 From: "Jamie Severinski" Subject: (ec) girl versions hey everyone, does anyone know when the cd of girl versions comes out? or possibly even her new cd? if anyone knows that's cool if not i guess we'll all find out sometime. toodles, jamie _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V4 #129 ***********************************
