Most people I talk to have never even heard of it, and both times I've seen it the theatre has been nearly empty, so I'm trying to do my bit to spread the word. It's a brilliant documentary about a group of homeless people living in the Amtrak train tunnels beneath New York City...I think it's by far the best film I've seen all year (and I see a LOT of movies), a real eye-opener that somehow manages to be both heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. It even has a great soundtrack, featuring music by DJ Shadow. So please, I urge you to take the money you were going to waste on Pearl Harbor and go see Dark Days (which is the complete opposite of PH in every possible way) instead. That's all for now, back to lurkdom I go... ************************************************* Mike Keast (michael.keast@giffels.com) http://www.geocities.com/dtswd/ "i don't care if they eat me alive i've got better things to do than survive" ************************************************* - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Email from this domain is provided under strict rules of use documented at http://www.giffels.com/gal/g-email.htm ------------------------------ End of headline-girl-digest V4 #126 ***********************************
