We will definitely keep your request in mind, as there are some more dates in other areas in the works. Nicky p.s. Emm was GREAT at her shows on Sun/Mon :) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 May 2001 06:30:36 -0700 (PDT) From: Berger Lisa Subject: Need some help. I am looking for a song for a first dance and for a father/daughter dance at a wedding. I don't want to do the staple, "I will always love you" or any of the other 20 standard songs I have heard at everyone's wedding. I'm looking for something different, beautiful and with some meaning. Any suggestions?? Thanks everyone! Lisa Yahoo! Hey, Lisa: These are some songs that I put on a cd for a friend when she got engaged. Open Window (Wedding Song) - Sarah Harmer Boy Races - Emm At Last - Etta James (though, this might be a standard) Good Gifts - Melanie Doane Green Apples - Chantal Kreviazuk Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band (at least I think it's still a good song) Because I Told You So - Jonatha Brooke Higher - Tara MacLean I can't remember anymore right now...but, this is a decent start. Hope it helps! Hmmm...I chose Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' for the dance with my dad. It's not painfully long, or really sappy. I also considered 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes' by Judy Collins. I chose an old Bryan Adams standard (not the Robin Hood one, though) for my first dance, and I figure you'd classify that as a typical one, but these are some I've often thought might be nice: 'Ice Cream' by Sarah McLachlan 'Before You' by Chantal Kreviazuk (something upbeat is always a nice surprise) 'Thank You' by Dido 'This Must be Love' by Phil Collins (an oldie but goodie) 'At My Most Beautiful' by REM - -sheila (and whoever this is for is doing a service to the guests by not subjecting them to 'Butterfly Kisses' again, by the way) > I am looking for a song for a first dance and for a father/daughter dance at a wedding.
